Chapter 23 - Honour Must Come Before Love
Rudolf visits the king who is in bed and very weak. The King thanks Rudolf for saving his life and throne. He then sees Flavia. They confess their love but decide to put honour and loyalty as the priority. Princess Flavia decides that she should stay and serve her country. Rudolf admires her courage.
Sapt and fritz take Rudolf to the Railway station. Fritz complements Rudolf by saying "The best men are not often kings". Feeling sad and heartbroken, Rudolf boards the train and leaves Ruritania.
